Installation Certification
The
number of PROFIBUS applications in process and factory automation
has developed rapidly the last couple of years. PROCENTEC had
to expand its activities, products and manpower to keep serving
the growing number of end-users worldwide. One of the most
requested on-site services is the 'Installation Certification'.
This is a quality assurance for plant-owners that the PROFIBUS
installation complies to the standard and is working properly
before it is being put into commission. By means of procedural
checklists in combination with first class test and measurement
tools, our field experts will verify that the PROFIBUS network
is 'healthy' and the installation operates according to the
functional specifications. These certifications can be carried
out all over the world and mostly take about 3 days to perform
for a medium scale application. Also for emergency troubleshooting
we can be contracted and within a short time an engineer can
be on-site. The tools we are using have been developed by our
organization and are sold worldwide. For example, tools like
ProfiTrace enable
us and our clients to detect every flaw in the network and
really prove if the communication has errors or not. Instrument
manufacturers and service providers like Endress+Hauser, who
are most of the time responsible for the PROFIBUS communication,
have standardized on these tools for their activities.
