Exhibition
'Het Instrument 2002'
|
|
On
4 to 8 November 2002, PROCENTEC participated
at the exhibition 'Het Instrument 2002' in Utrecht (NL).
On a boot of 120m2 the PROFIBUS technology was promoted.
On a running demonstrator,
which consisted out of DP and PA equipment from more
than 40 vendors, the visitors could experience the openness
of PROFIBUS. Engineering services for instrumentation
vendors and a new line of PROFIBUS training courses were
also promoted.
 |
On
the 14th of February 2002 we participated on the carreer
day of the University of Professional Education of The Hague.
The center had a booth with
a live demonstrator and was completely focussed on attracting
electro technical and IT students who are about to have
their degree. On the booth they could take a peek in
the 'world of PROFIBUS'. Many were interested in a possible
carreer in the industrial automation sector.

Process
Industry seminar in Norway
|
|
On the 23rd and 24th of April
2002 a seminar for Fieldbusses in the Process Industry has
been organised in Oslo (Norway).
The seminar gave an overview
of the market position of Fieldbusses, strengths, weaknesses
and how can we expect they will evolve in the near future.
Dennis van Booma gave a presentation about the strong
diagnostic capabilities, supported by a live demonstration
on a working PROFIBUS DP/PA network.

Again
a new range of PROFIBUS interfaces for EL-O-Matic's pneumatic
actuators were certified at a testlab in Germany.
These interfaces were developed by our R&D department and are the
new line of PROFIBUS field components for EL-O-Matic's pneumatic
actuators. The electronics and software were created within a lead
time of three weeks (including prototypes).

On
the 18th of June 2002, the Dutch PROFIBUS organisation and
PROCENTEC organised a seminar which was
focussed on PROFIBUS in the Process Industry.
During this one-day symposium,
the decision makers of the process industry witnessed
an impressive presentation of the cost cutting potential
available through the implementation of PROFIBUS DP and
PA. A multi-vendor plant was used to show how control
systems and SCADA systems communicate with field devices
for temperature, pressure, levels, analysis, flow and
I/O boxes.

On
17 December 2002, the Dutch PROFIBUS organisation and PROCENTEC
organised a seminar, which was focussed on PROFIBUS in the
factory
automation.
During this one-day symposium,
the visitors witnessed an impressive presentation of
the cost cutting potential available through the implementation
of PROFIBUS. The various arguments were underpinned by
a live demo.
 |
On the 25th of April 2002 a
PROFIBUS workshop has been organised for the members of the
Dutch RPA.
It covered the 'new' technologies
of PROFIBUS: PROFIdrive, PROFIsafe, PROFINET and give
a clear picture within the current spectrum of PROFIBUS
DP and PA. The purpose of this workshop was to enhance
the technical knowledge of the Dutch members.

Test
apparatus for fow meters
|
|
We
have developed a test apparatus for the flow meters of Brooks
Instrument. This system is based on a PCD1 PLC (Saia-Burgess)
and can test 10 flow meters at the same time by means of
PROFIBUS communication.
The status of the flow meters is
displayed on a led matrix. Brooks Instrument will use the
system for testing flow meters, which come from the assembly
line. After passing the test they will be packed and shipped
to the clients.
